Use scissors to cut any clothing that can not be removed from the victim’s chest. If the victim is noticeably damp, dry the chest with the gauze pads. If the victim has a hairy chest, the hair on the chest may prevent the electrode pads from having effective contact with the skin of the chest. Use the razor to shave the chest before attaching the electrode pads.
